Thriftwood - International Scout Activity
Centre This facility has 6 rooms. One shower and toilet with facilities for the disabled, which will always be open for all to use. Two rooms are dedicated to female use, one containing 7 shower cubicles, 9 wash hand basins and a WC. Each shower cubicle has it's own changing area and seating. the second female only facility has 4 WC and 4 wash hand basins. One WC caters for the ambulant person and also has separate wash hand basin. The two rooms for male use a similar design but only contain 6 showers and 6 wash hand basins. The whole building is heated by underfloor pipework, has a forced air ventilation system which changes the air 15 times every hour. Soap dispensers and hand dryers are provided in each room. The flooring is a non slip 'easy clean' epoxy resin coating, coloured to always look clean. Large toilet roll holders will hopefully ensure that there is always plenty of paper. This block is situated near to sites 21 & 22.
The second facility, situated in the car park of Sapper Lake, is identical
in design to the above and is now open.
